AUD/USD Moves Up After Regional Data

AUD/USD is trading at 0.7651, up 0.0039. The pair is trading rangebound and a little under the highs of the day. Market talk about global headline news and regional growth has kept both buyers and sellers active. China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that year over year gross domestic product (GDP) during the second quarter was 6.7 percent versus 6.7 percent a month ago and 7 percent a year ago. The agency said industrial output rose 6.2 percent in June from a year earlier versus 6.0 percent in May. China's retail sales rose 10.6 percent in June from a year earlier versus a 10.0 percent year over increase in May. Fixed-asset investment rose 9.0 percent year over year during January to June versus an increase of 9.6 percent in the first five months of the year.
