S&P 500 Index Futures Trading Lower

S&P 500 index futures are trading lower by five points at 2078 in Friday's session. Despite trading to 2094.75 in pre-market trading, the index was unable to hold hold those gains. Off the open, the index found resistance in a familiar place. After peaking at 2085.25 on Wednesday and 2086.50 on Thursday, the rally off the open stalled at 2086. If the decline continues, there may not be any major support until Thursday's low ($2073.25). Joel Elconin is the co-host of Benzinga's #PreMarket Prep, a daily trading idea radio show.
