Lean Hogs Sharply Lower

Lean hog futures traded mostly lower on Friday and fell sharply into the close. At last check July Hogs were trading at 78.12, down 1.05; August hogs were trading at 76.80, down 1.72; and October Hogs were trading at 67.45, down 1.32. December Hogs at last check was trading at 64.55, down 1.52. Friday's USDA Hog slaughter was 409,000 head versus a year ago at 297,000 head.
