Lean Hog Futures Settle Higher On Firm Cash Prices

February Hogs settled Wednesday's choppy trading session at 79.32, up 0.75 on a better tone in cash hogs. April Hogs settled at 81.87, up 0.52, and June Lean Hogs settled at 90.90, up 0.40. Market talk is trading will continue to be choppy. Wednesday 's estimated hog slaughter was 418,000 head versus 373,000 one week ago and 428,000 one year ago. Tuesday's Slaughter was revised lower by the USDA to 417,000.
