Bitcoin Falls Below $64,000 Following GDP, Jobless Claims Data; Nervos Network Becomes Top Loser

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved lower, with the cryptocurrency prices falling below the key $64,000 level on Thursday.

Ethereum ETH/USD also recorded losses, trading below the key $3,200 mark this morning.

Theta Fuel TFUEL/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Nervos Network CKB/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

U.S. initial jobless claims declined by 5,000 to 207,000 in the week ending April 20, compared to market estimates of 214,000. The U.S. economy grew an annualized 1.6% in the first quarter, marking a notable slowdown from the 3.4% rate in the final quarter of 2023

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $2.36 trillion, recording a 24-hour decline of 4.3%. BTC was trading lower by 3.9% at $63,990 while ETH fell by around 4.7% to $3,127 on Thursday.
