New York Gets Another Marijuana Store Run By Entrepreneur Previously Criminalized By Cannabis Prohibition

New York is getting another recreational marijuana store, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Wednesday.

Located at 119-121 East State Street in Ithaca, the Upstate New York State-based shop will kick off cannabis sales on Thursday, March 16.

Owned by William Durham, an entrepreneur previously criminalized by cannabis prohibition, is supported by the New York State Social Equity Cannabis Investment Fund and will open as a pop-up, according to a press release.

"With the opening of William Jane in Ithaca, we're continuing to build an adult-use cannabis industry in our state that works to offset the harms caused by disproportionate arrests made during cannabis prohibition," Hochul said.

Trulieve Launches MMJ Sales In Palatka, FL

Trulieve Cannabis Corp. TRUL TCNNF has recently kicked off sales of medical cannabis at its new store in Palatka, Florida.

Located at 101 North Highway 17, the new shop offers a large selection of THC and CBD products available in a variety of consumption methods, including smokable flower, concentrates, edibles, capsules, syringes, tinctures, topical creams, vaporizers, and more.

"We're committed to being active in the communities we serve, as well as providing high-quality cannabis and exceptional customer experiences to our patients," Kim Rivers, the company’s CEO said.

Cresco Opens Two New Shops In FL

Cresco Labs CL CRLBF said recently that it opened a cannabis dispensary in Palm Harbor and Lake Worth, bringing the total number of its retail location across Florida to 28 and 63 nationwide.

Sunnyside Palm Harbor is located at 35098 US Highway 19N near major retailers like Walmart and Publix.

Located at 6520 Lake Worth Rd., Sunnyside Lake Worth sits along a major thoroughfare with Walmart, Aldi, Marshalls and Target stores nearby.

“Our newest Palm Harbor and Lake Worth locations expand our reach in two of Florida’s most populous west-central and southeastern regions,” Charles Bachtell, Cresco Labs’ CEO and co-founder said.

Green Dragon’s Six New Dispensaries To Sell MMJ In FL

Green Dragon, a subsidiary of multi-state cannabis operator Eaze Technologies Inc., announced the opening of six new Florida medical cannabis dispensaries in Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Madison, South Pasadena, Orange City, and Orlando.

The new openings are bringing the company’s footprint in the Sunshine State to 28 medical marijuana dispensaries, continuing its expansion to hit the goal of opening 50 locations by the end of the year.

The store’s offering includes cannabis flower, vape cartridges, concentrates, tinctures, and tablets.

“Our new products represent the best value for indoor flower in the Florida market, which, paired with our 28 locations, provides unparalleled access to fairly priced high-quality products,” Cory Azzalino, CEO of Eaze and Green Dragon, said.
