Cannabis company Next Green Wave Holdings Inc. NGW NXGWF inked a supply and production deal with California cannabis brand Cookies.
Under the agreement, the Vancouver-based company opted to grow exclusive COOKIES genetics, and to commercialize it later under the Cookies brand.
Cookies — co-founded and helmed by Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr., also known as hip hop artist Berner — agreed to sell Next Green Wave branded products in its stores within the Golden State.
In addition, both parties agreed that the part of the production coming from the Next Green Wave’s new cultivation facility in Coalinga would be distributed to the Cookies brand.
The company expects to complete the 50,000 square-foot indoor cultivation facility in the fourth quarter of this year.
“We wanted to align and build a long-term partnership with someone we know will both produce some of the best flower in the State of California, and also keep those strains exclusive; which is why a deal like this is ideal for COOKIES,” Berner said Wednesday.
Next Green Wave CEO Michael Jennings said they “look forward to working with the entire COOKIES team” as they are expanding their production capacities and brand’s footprint.
Meantime, Cookies recently debuted in Oklahoma by opening a dispensary in Oklahoma City.
