Rovi Announces Licensing Deal With Apple, Shares Jump (ROVI, AAPL)

jumped more than 7% Monday, after the software company reported a multi-year licensing deal with Apple Inc.

. Rovi said in an SEC filing that the deal covers intellectual property, although further details were not mentioned. Until last year, Rovi was known as Macrovision Solutions.
