Postage rates are going up
starting Sunday,
but you won't be footing the bill. The changes are going to affect businesses, as it will costs advertisers more to put ads in your mailbox, and publishers will face higher rates on magazines. It will still cost 44 cents to a send a piece of mail first class. The price increases come as the U.S. Post Office lost $8.5 billion last year, as mail continues to move towards the Internet, with more consumers paying bills on line, and sending letters online as well. The price increases are projected to bring in an additional $340 million to the Post Office. To see the full pricing changes, please visit the
USPS website.
