Elena Kagan Slips On Popularity Charts

In a recent poll from USA Today, only 46% favored Elena Kagan to be in the Supreme Court. Those who don’t want her to be nominated are at 32%, which is the second highest negative vote for a nominated candidate. Elena has been the dean of Harvard Law School and presently holds the position of solicitor general at the Justice Department. She, however, has nothing much to worry from the Senate side. Democrats have enough votes to back her and Republicans have not indicated any opposition yet. Confirmation hearings are scheduled to begin on June 28.
