The Kansas City Royals bulldogged their way to a Game 6 victory, forcing the 2014 World Series to go a full seven games.
Making their first postseason appearance since 1985, Kansas City fans know these things don't come around very often.
"The cheapest get-in price is currently $589 for Standing Room Only," Cameron Papp, a communications specialist with StubHub told Benzinga.
"The average ticket price sold on StubHub is currently $992. Yesterday the average ticket price was $1,041 so we actually saw it go down overnight. I would imagine this is because more sellers are listing their ticket now that the game is actually happening which will drive down the price. There are currently 3,500 listings on StubHub."
Elsewhere, fans have been clamoring to get into Kauffman Stadium Wednesday night.
The Royals franchise was feeling generous during the day:
We hate to interrupt your nervous pacing, but we thought you might like to know we have a pair of tickets to give away for tonight's #Game7

While ESPN's top business correspondent pointed out the infamous fan in the orange shirt:
If you want to sit next to Marlins Man tonight for Game 7, you can buy behind the plate, second row for $10,500.

Other fans expressed their emotion:
How can I get @Royals tickets to the world series without winning the lottery in the next few hours? #takethecrown #royals #worldseries
