This is my next notes that Samsung has begun sending out press invitations to an event it will be holding on October 11 in San Diego. The press conference, which will be a joint operation with Google, will provide "a look at what's new from Android." What does that mean?
The first thing that may be announced is the next-generation in the Nexus line of smartphones from Google. Samsung currently manufacturers the Nexus S and has been rumored to be the builder of what is being codenamed the "Nexus Prime," despite Google acquiring Motorola Mobility last month.
It's also possible that Google and Samsung will be giving more details on Android OS "Ice Cream Sandwich," the fourth major release of the mobile platform. Coincidentally, Ice Cream Sandwich was apparently leaked in a two-minute video posted yesterday.
