Renowned football player and World Cup champion Lionel Messi joined forces with Krü Esports, an esports team led by Sergio Kun Agüero.

This announcement was made by Agüero on his Twitch channel, following recent speculations about organizational changes.

"I've reached my limit. So... I have to tell you that I'm no longer the owner of Krü," the former Manchester City forward teased in the clip uploaded on social media.

But he continued, "Why I'm not the owner of Krü? Because now, we are two."

The video then showed Messi behind a PC and wearing gamer headphones: "OK, let's play," the greatest soccer player of all time said with a huge smile.

Founded in October 2020, Krü Esports swiftly gained a substantial following, establishing itself as a prominent esports team in the Latin American region.

Currently, the organization fields both male and female Valorant teams and boasts a competitive Rocket League squad. Anticipation surrounds the possibility of Krü's entry into Counter-Strike 2, following previous ventures in FIFA and a brief stint in League of Legends.
