The physical release of Sony Group Corp.'s SONY "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" is causing installation headaches for many players.
A Reddit user first raised the alarm, reporting a frustrating issue with the game's installation process, which grinds to a halt at the 36% mark when the disc is inserted into the PS5 console, IGN reported.

The Reddit post swiftly generated a ResetEra thread, where a growing number of users shared their own experiences, all encountering the same issue.
Even after attempting various troubleshooting steps, like reinstalling the game multiple times, clearing system caches, and rebuilding databases, the installation remained steadfastly stuck at 36%.
One player expressed their frustration, saying: "This is the first time I've received a physical disc that simply doesn't work."
"Maybe I'm lucky. But in this case, it's not a one-off since there's now several reports of the installation stopping at exactly 36%," the player added.
