Monday's 'Michigan Emerging' Conference an Innovator's Wonderland

When you want something done right, you do it yourself. With that in mind, Michigan's growing pool of entrepreneurs and innovators is meeting Monday at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, to collaborate on the methods and the madness behind creating jobs and reinventing Michigan. Michigan Emerging, a conference that features a series of presentations, including a keynote speech by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, is a day-long conversation that Michigan's current and future leaders cannot afford to miss. The event kicks off at 7:30 am with registration, with a minimal fee ($45) for the entire day's events. Congressman Hansen Clarke from the 13th District will speak in the morning, followed by the highly innovative CEO of GalaxE.Solutions, Tim Bryan. Mr. Bryan is scheduled to talk about how he decided to move his company IN to Michigan, including some of the advantages that Michigan provides his business over other states. Following that, Michigan Emerging presents its expert panel on reversing outsourcing by bringing outside jobs into Michigan. Scheduled speakers for this panel include Rom Lapointe of i3Logic, Anik Ganguly from GAIN Group, Inc., Don Campbell of the Detroit Trading Company, and Steven Robert of Billhighway. The panel will be moderated by the always clever Ken Rogers, Executive Director of Automation Alley. Immediately following the panel will be a tremendous speech by M. Miche Suboski, Champion of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, LEAP, Inc. Look for this speech to focus on the action in the trenches, hear about the wins, the innovation and the opportunities that are out there every day in our great state. The conference will wrap up with a keynote speech by David Segura, the CEO of VisionIT, along with some awards and announcements about new funding in the state.
