Accenture ACN Cuts Woods

Tiger Woods lost the first of his major contracts yesterday as consulting giant Accenture (NYSE: ACN)(FREE stock trend analysis) officially announced the discontinuation of its association with Tiger. Accenture used to pay Tiger an estimated amount of $10 million to $15 million a year.

Tiger, once an immaculate figure on the sports arena, lost all his glory after the leakage of his numerous affairs and involvements with the fair sex.

Accenture had Tiger for the last six years. However, they decided to drop him “after careful consideration and analysis” as he is “no longer the right representative for its advertising".

Mark Steinberg, Woods’ agent, opined that they were disappointed but respected the decision.
