Stockhouse Movers & Shakers: Gold, oil to lead commodities pack: Bharti

Canadian financier Stan Bharti is predicting that gold and oil will be the top performers in the commodities sphere. He sees gold going to $3,000 within the next five years. Since he decided to launch his own merchant banking firm in 2001, Stan Bharti has tended to take a long term approach to global commodities markets. “When I invest, I'm thinking five years from now,'' said Bharti, the 59-year-old founder of Toronto-based Forbes & Manhattan, which oversees a portfolio of roughly 30 resource companies with interests in everything from precious metals to potash.
