Concern Builds For Microsoft Upon The Departure Of Another Exec

Following a push to get Microsoft Corporation MSFT into the cloud computing business, among other accomplishments, Ray Ozzie will soon leave the Windows maker. While every corporation has employees who come and go, this latest development is beginning to fuel some concern, Bloomberg reports. “When multiple people depart from a given manager, at a certain point it raises questions on the manager,” said Michael Gartenberg, an analyst at Gartner Inc. “Once again, there's an empty seat at Ballmer's table.” Ozzie's departure comes after Office division head Stephen Elop announced in September that he'd be leaving, which followed the May departure of entertainment chief Robbie Bach. After the announcement, Microsoft's shares fell 2.2% to $25.25. Bloomberg says that while Kurt DelBene will replace Elop, Ozzie's role will not be replaced because the company already has enough leaders in place. Microsoft currently trades for $25.19.
