Blood, Sweat And Tear Gas: Trump's 'Cadillac One' To Debut Next Week

President-elect Donald Trump is expected to bring a substantial amount of change to the presidency, but one thing that will be staying the same is the presidential state car. Trump's 'Cadillac One' is set to debut on Inauguration Day, January 20.

Nicknamed “The Beast” during President George W. Bush's administration, these vehicles are equipped with many life-saving features. In a first look, the NY Post described some of the few details on the vehicle not considered top secret:

• It's loaded with weapons, including tear gas cannons and a shotgun.
• The vehicle can withstand roadside bombs, armor-piercing bullets and biological weapons.
• It's stocked with emergency bottles of the president's blood type.

Cadillac, a division of General Motors Company GM, first got a shot at presidential transportation when it replaced the Lincoln in 1983. After being briefly replaced by the Lincoln again under President George H.W. Bush, the Cadillac was brought back under President Bill Clinton and has remained the POTUS vehicle of choice ever since.

Each presidential car costs around $1 million–$1.5 million dollars. Considering Trump's criticism of Boeing Co BA on the costs of Air Force One, GM investors may be watching Trump's twitter account for negative tweets — he's already criticized the company for building Chevy Cruze's in Mexico, though GM says only the hatchback model of the car is built there, with all Cruze sedans manufactured in the United States.
