Corn futures are trading lower Tuesday. May Corn is trading at 374 3/4, down 4 1/2 cents. July Corn is trading at 382 3/4, down 4 1/2 cents.
Chatter that Argentina production will be near 25 million tons versus the 23.5 million estimate from the USDA has led to some pressure. Talk that Ukraine has corn for export has also led to some selling.
Weather chatter and planting news is likely to overcome export ideas over the next few weeks. The southern midwest may get some rain that could delay planting and this is seen as supportive.
