Ameristar Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk Announces New Vice President & General Manager and Assistant General Manager

BLACK HAWK, Colo., Sept. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ameristar Casino Hotel Resort Spa Black Hawk announced the appointment of Sean Demeule to Vice President & General Manager and Peter Chu to Assistant General Manager.

Demeule joins the Ameristar team from sister Pinnacle Entertainment property L'Auberge Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he served as Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Finance and Administration. "Sean's ability to inspire teams to achieve significant goals in guest service will be critical to Ameristar's continuing success," said Keith W. Henson, Senior Vice President of Operations and General Manager of L'Auberge Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Demeule transitioned to L'Auberge Lake Charles from Boomtown Casino & Hotel, Bossier City, Louisiana, where he served as Director of Marketing. Prior to that, he worked in the casino industry in Southern Indiana. Demeule also served in the United States Army as a Captain, Aviation Officer and Apache Helicopter Pilot. New Assistant General Manager Peter Chu joined Pinnacle Entertainment in 2008 as Vice President of Resort Operations at Belterra Casino Resort, Florence, Indiana. In 2011, Chu was promoted to President's Associate and served as the Operations Expert and Owner's Representative for Pinnacle in the Ho Tram Resort project in Vietnam. More recently, Chu served as President's Associate and assisted with marketing and casino operations for L'Auberge Lake Charles, Louisiana.
