UBS Posts Upbeat Q3 Profit

reported an upbeat third-quarter profit. UBS posted its quarterly net profit at 577 million francs, versus analysts' estimates of 569 million francs. Its total operating expenses declined 33%, while total headcount fell by 5% to 60,635. UBS shares closed at $21.37 yesterday.
