Philips Posts Rise In Q3 Profit

reported a gain in its third-quarter net profit. Philips's quarterly net profit climbed to 282 million euros ($385.7 million), versus EUR105 million, in the year-ago period. Its sales declined 3% to EUR5.62 billion. Philips shares gained 5.36% to $35.36 in pre-market trading.
