The company today announced earnings for the fourth quarter ended January 28, 2012 of $0.26 per diluted share. Adjusted earnings for the fourth quarter ended January 28, 2012 were $0.35 per diluted share, which excludes store impairment charges and executive transition costs of $0.07 and $0.02 per diluted share, respectively. This compares to earnings of $0.44 per diluted share last year.
The company also announced earnings for the fiscal year ended January 28, 2012 of $0.77 per diluted share. Adjusted earnings for the fiscal year ended January 28, 2012 were $0.86 per diluted share, which excludes store impairment charges and executive transition costs of $0.07 and $0.02 per diluted share, respectively. Adjusted income from continuing operations for the fiscal year ended January 29, 2011 was $1.02 per diluted share, which excluded a realized loss from the sale of investment securities of $0.12 per diluted share.
