Shares in the Chinese online direct sales company have been on a fairly consistent uptrend in 2017, gaining over 30 percent year-to-date. The stock dipped slightly in mid-March after unconfirmed rumors materialized that JD was considering acquiring health goods supplier GNC Holdings Inc GNC.
JD's strong performance this year has earned it a few nods from analysts as well. In early March, Bank of America upgraded the stock from Neutral to Buy; on April 18, Benchmark initiated coverage of the stock at Buy.
