JPM Considers Four Recent Changes At Oracle, Maintains Market Underperform

J.P. Morgan maintained Oracle's ORCL at Market Underperform and a price target of $31.00. The reiteration came after Oracle announced four changes in its sales restructuring efforts. Oracle's proposed structural changes include: 1.) Making significant headcount reductions in its sales consulting ranks 2.) Mark Dorsey, a 15 year IBM executive to join Oracle's technology team 3.) Re-segmenting accounts on a revenue basis and moving to a vertical model 4.) Applications quota and compensation plan for FY17 "is apparently cloud-only" Although J.P. Morgan did not have any specific analysis on Oracle's four changes, the bank plans to carry out their due diligence soon.
