Tech Strategist Sean Udall Talks Twitter's Leadership

Commenting on Dick Costolo's resignation as Chief Executive Officer of Twitter Inc TWTR, Udall stated that the future for the company hasn't changed.

Udall said that in many cases when a company appoints an interim CEO, as Twitter has done with Jack Dorsey, the company ends up removing the "interim" title given the executive's familiarity with the firm either as a high ranking executive, or in Dorsey's case, a co-founder.

Udall continued that Dorsey has the necessary skills to be a good leader over the long-term.

"I actually think Dorsey would make a very good CEO," he said. "One of the most important things for CEOs is communicating vision and having a ton of charisma...and Dorsey has a lot of charisma."

On the other hand, Udall entertained the thought of Twitter naming Google Inc GOOG GOOGL's Eric Schmidt as CEO.

"I think if Eric Schmidt went to Twitter, within three weeks Twitter will be within $47 to $50 per share," Udall said.

Udall also discussed Twitter's Chief Financial Officer Anthony Nono's ability to assume top ranks at the company.

Nono was a former Goldman Sachs investment banker and former Chief Financial Officer of the National Football League. Udall noted that Nono recently received additional responsibility as duties and could be a potential CEO.

Bottom line, Udall stated that Twitter "isn't broken, it's undervalued," and "unfortunately for Dick, he just had to go as he didn't have the charisma in the public setting."
