What's Coming For Juniper Networks? Main Street, Wall Street Answer

Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE: JNPR) is scheduled to report its first quarter financial results after the market closes on Thursday.

According to Estimize, both the crowd and Wall Street analysts project consensus EPS of $0.31 (on revenue of $1.044 billion and $1.053 billion, respectively), slightly above the company’s guidance of $0.30 on revenue of $1.040 billion.

Estimates have been oscillating; however, the crowd has trended downward, while the Street has revised projections upward.

Neutral Thoughts

In a recent report, analysts at Credit Suisse reiterated their Neutral rating on shares of Juniper, but raised their price target from $21 to $23. They expect EPS and revenue to come in in-line with consensus.

A recent Benzinga article reads: “The analysts expect the weakness being witnessed by the company's routing and security segments to continue through 1H2015 due to ‘slower ramp-up of new projects from US based service providers’ and a decline in customer build outs, respectively."
