Hudson Securities is out with a research report on Las Vegas, and the airline industry.
In a note to clients, Hudson writes, "While there has been much discussion in the airline industry about airlines reducing capacity in the back half of 2011 in response to rising fuel prices, we have yet to see such cuts show up in the scheduled service into and out of Las Vegas. Las Vegas visitation trends have been mixed so far this year. While visitation was up 8.6%
in January on a strong convention calendar, February visitation only grew 1% on a softer convention calendar. As the Las Vegas recovery remains choppy, it is encouraging that the market doesn't look like it is facing reductions in airlift at this time."
