Piper Jaffray has issued a report regarding the F3Q results from Biomet.
According to the report, “Biomet's F3Q ortho results face tougher prior year comps particularly OUS, and will provide the first peek at calendar 2011 hip and knee trends. We expect the trends that impacted the company's metal-on-metal (MoM) hip franchise in F2Q to continue, as select "metal-only" surgeons replace their utilization of Biomet's hip implants with metal-on-poly (MoP) systems from their primary implant suppliers.”
