J.P. Morgan Comments On FLIR Systems 1Q11

According to J.P. Morgan, FLIR Systems FLIR missed 1Q consensus expectations, but results can be lumpy so it does not issue quarterly guidance. J.P. Morgan said that also, the federal budget process probably temporarily weighed on some GS business. “2011 full-year guidance was nudged to the upper end of the range, implying improving visibility. The company generally issues conservative guidance for the year and regularly beats annual expectations, so the revised guidance could buoy the stock.” FLIR Systems closed yesterday at $35.13.
