Gilford Securities Says LodgeNet Interactive Should Be More Like Netflix

According to Gilford Securities, LodgeNet Interactive LNET has long had the majority of its rev. from movies bought by the occasional hotel guest's impulse to watch a personalized choice, whether a new release ahead of other home entertainment options [not waiting 30-45 days to download a movie via PC or PPV from cable or satellite] or to scroll for a specific older title/ genre. Gilford Securities reported that most entertainment providers have a substantial % of recurring movie rev. via monthly subscription. “LNET doesn't, and should do so. LNET should sell a subscription to its best customers by providing many-to-unlimited movies for significant, scalable price. Travelers are used to frequent-user plans, why not movies?” LodgeNet Interactive closed yesterday at $3.20.
