Communications Technology Update From Morgan Keegan

Morgan Keegan has published a research report on communications technology. In the report, Morgan Keegan writes "Specialty technology distributor, ScanSource SCSC, announced last night that its September quarter revenues would come in around $628 million, up +29% Y/Y and 11% above consensus and guidance. We're assuming the weak dollar helped a bit, but the upside clearly shows still a relatively robust environment for ScanSource's product lines, which include rugged mobile computers (MOT, IN), video conferencing (PLCM), and unified communications (Avaya, PLT, PLCM). ScanSource does not break out its revenues in this pre-release, but our general impression that results this strong likely indicate that demand was relatively broad-based, and also may indicate a relatively good environment for closing deals at the end of the quarter. ScanSource is a 10%+ customer of PLT, PLT, IN and of Motorola's Symbol business." Companies related to this report include: ScanSource SCSC ($28.20, NR) Intermec IN ($11.94, M-S) Motorola MOT ($8.59, O-M) Plantronics PLT ($34.20, O-S) Polycom PLCM ($27.32, O-S)
