<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-19346" title="78282v1" src="http://cdn.itsalltech.com/images/2011/06/78282v1-205x300.png" alt="" width="123" height="180" />HP CEO Leo Apotheker confirmed to <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-06-29/hewlett-packard-is-in-talks-to-license-webos-software-ceo-apotheker-says.html" target="_blank">Bloomberg</a> that Hewlett-Packard is currently in talks with “a number of companies” about licensing out webOS for use on non-HP/Palm devices. “A number of companies have expressed interest. We are continuing our conversations,” Apotheker stated.
According to Bloomberg‘s report, Samsung is definitely on the list of companies talking with HP – the main reason is because the company is worried that Google may start locking down on customizations with Android OS. However, a spokesperson for Samsung stated: “Samsung will continue to strengthen its relationship with Google to provide ultimate values to customers.”
