Culled from the Police Reports page of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle come the best of the Bozeman police reports from the last week along with some items from the Sheriff's Office.

Peacocks make their first appearance in the police blotter and an increasing number of locals seem to be getting drunk and falling asleep in places where they don't belong – in other peoples' cars and other peoples' houses, all of which seems to have led to problems for those locking themselves out of their house and climbing in through a window as neighbors look on. We'll be sure to double-check our windows and doors from now on…

  • A woman armed with a gun and a man with a bow and arrow were shooting at gophers at 6 p.m. near Matheson Way.
  • A 9 AM caller was concerned peacocks on North Seventh Avenue would be hit by a car.
  • A woman cussed at someone in an elevator at 12:30 p.m. in the federal building on Babcock Street. She told the person she was going to the FBI. Police told the woman not to return to the federal building “due to aggressive and lewd behavior.”
  • A woman went out to the bus stop at 2:45 p.m. on West Oak Street after she wandered around a nearby hardware store, shouted at an employee and then locked herself in the bathroom.
  • Two peacocks were in a pizza shop's parking lot at 12:15 p.m. on North Seventh Avenue.

  • A man was asked to leave an East Main Street bar at about 12:30 a.m. after employees saw him smoking marijuana. He refused. Police warned him for trespassing and smoking marijuana in public.
  • Two people knocked on a woman's door at 3 a.m., asking for a place to stay. She said she was going to call the cops and they drove away.
  • At 7 a.m., several intoxicated men were warned for disorderly conduct after the clerk of an auto parts store told officers they were “making noise and touching things.”
  • A young man was cited for underage drinking after he crawled into the wrong vehicle to sleep.
  • A woman reported that the air in her car tires had been let out two weeks ago, but she never called the police. She said that she now knows who did it and would like them to be arrested.
  • Employees at a drive-through restaurant reported that a possible drunk driver just left after a man came through in a truck, slurring his words while ordering. He then remained in the drive-through area for five minutes after receiving his food.
  • A man who came to a house on Church Avenue to do a “communications survey” later returned uninvited to sit next to the pool and smoke.
  • A group of juveniles was warned for unacceptable behavior after they knocked on the door of a home and flipped the woman off who opened it. Further discipline was left for the parents to determine.
  • Around 1 p.m., a man who said he was Jesus Christ came to a house on Huffine Lane and said he wanted the man who answered the door to interview him. The man seemed angry and left in a dark blue SUV
  • An intoxicated man was taken home after he was found passed out on a couch in the Wallace Avenue home of a person he didn't know around 12:15 a.m.
  • Police warned a female for urinating on the sidewalk on East Main Street around 1:30 a.m.
  • A three-legged deer was seen near the intersection of Baxter Lane and Ferguson Avenue around 10 p.m.
  • Several horses in the middle of Gallatin Road around 5:45 p.m. were causing traffic issues.
  • An officer freed a deer that was caught in a fence near Davis Lane and West Oak Street around 10 p.m.
  • A man accidently shot himself in the thigh while trying to holster his firearm around 11:15 a.m.
  • A caller reported that an unknown man was climbing into the window of a neighboring home on Donna Avenue at 6:30 p.m. It turned out that the man climbing into the window actually lived there and was locked out.
