Hedge Fund Managers to Gather at This Year's Delivering Alpha

The annual conference from CNBC and Institutional Investor returns for another year of in-depth discussions involving the market's most important issues. Featuring Timothy Geithner as its keynote speaker, Delivering Alpha attendees will get to hear from Preet Bharara, United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York; Henry R. Kravis, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. KKR; Robert E. Rubin, the Co-Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former Secretary of the United States Treasury; and Hank Paulson, Jr., the 74th Secretary of the United States Treasury. During the conference, attendees will get to hear from some of the financial sector's most prominent speakers, including Peter L. Briger Jr., the Principal and Co-Chairman of Fortress Investment. Briger is a panelist for the conference's "Global Opportunities" segment. He will join Mary Callahan Erdeos, CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management JPM; Jane Mandillo, President and CEO of Harvard Management Company; and Richard Perry, CEO of Perry Capital. Another panel, "Emerging Markets & The Next Frontier," features Afsaneh Mashayekhi Beschloss, President and CEO of The Rock Creek Group, and Jim Leech, President and CEO of Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. During this panel, Beschloss and Leech will discuss commodities and healthy export rates, among other topics. Clifford S. Asness, Managing and Founding Principal of AQR Capital Management, will join Damon Silvers, Director of Policy and Special Counsel at the AFL-CIO during the 11:00 a.m. panel entitled, "A Drop in the Bucket: The Trillion Dollar Shortfall." Lawrence Schloss, CEO of New York City Employees' Retirement System, and Ashbel Williams, Executive Director and CIO of the Florida State Board of Administration, will also appear on the panel, which is scheduled to be moderated by Michael Peltz, Editor of the Institutional Investor Magazine Group. Two of the most prominent men in finance -- Jim Chanos, President and Founder of Kyniko's Associates, and Leon G. Cooperman, Chairman and CEO of Omega Advisors -- will speak during the "Best Ideas" panel. Andrew Feldstein, CEO and CIO of Blue Mountain Capital Management, is slated to join the panel as well, along with Robert S. Kapito, President of Blackrock BLK, and Kathleen Kelley, CIO of Queen Anne's Gate Capital Management. And that is just the beginning. There are tons of panels running throughout the day. The event will conclude in the early evening with a cocktail reception.
