Tesla Teases Model S Plaid Track Package, With Speeds Up To 200 MPH

Tesla Inc TSLA has recently teased its "Model S Plaid Track Package" on Twitter, posting a video of the high-performance electric vehicle reaching 200mph.

This exciting development promises to take the Model S Plaid to new heights, offering a host of upgrades and features to improve performance, power, and handling.

The Track Package goes beyond mere aesthetics, according to TopGear, and adds numerous enhancements, including advanced battery conditioning with cool-down programs after hot laps, ensuring consistent access to full power.

Additionally, the package increases the top speed to 200mph, offers alternative air suspension settings and boasts more aggressive torque vectoring.

It's the hardware that sets the Track Package apart. For approximately 16,000 pounds ($20,155) in the U.K., buyers will receive the carbon-ceramic brake package, which includes 410mm rotors on both ends and six-piston calipers on the front and four-piston on the rear. The package also features high-temperature brake fluid, as well as a 'Zero-G' wheel and tire package consisting of 20-inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels and Goodyear Supercar 3R tires.
