Not all artificial intelligence (AI) companies are new to the scene. Humane, a startup launched by ex-Apple Inc. employees, could be the best example of this.

Humane Inc. was founded in 2018, but the company just recently shared the details of its first product, known as the Humane Ai Pin.

Don’t Miss:

What Is The Ai Pin?

According to a company press release, the Ai Pin is a "standalone device with a software platform that harnesses the power of AI."

As a connected clothing-based wearable device, it uses various sensors to "enable contextual and ambient compute interactions."

The company has teamed up with Qualcomm Technologies Inc. to develop a unique device and design. Its inaugural device will be driven by an advanced Snapdragon platform provided by Qualcomm Technologies.

Humane Co-Founders Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno added the following:

"We are excited to reveal our first device will be called the Humane Ai Pin. Our Ai Pin presents an opportunity for people to take AI with them everywhere and to unlock a new era of personal mobile computing, which is seamless, screenless and sensing.

"We are also delighted to reveal we are working with Qualcomm Technologies Inc. Humane and Qualcomm Technologies have a shared vision for a future of technology which is powered by AI. Qualcomm Technologies' experience in powering new products is unparalleled, and we are proud to have them support our device."

What's Its Day-To-Day Use?

The Ai Pin is expected to perform many of the tasks that people currently use a smartphone for. For example, it can be activated with a simple hand tap and instantly provide a calendar of upcoming events, a summary of emails or a prompt to place a phone call.

If Humane is able to deliver on its promises, the Ai Pin has the potential to be one of the most advanced AI-powered hardware/software combinations the world has experienced.

Investing In The Future Of AI

The Humane announcement is more proof that artificial intelligence is set to change the way people live. ChatGPT and similar programs have changed the corporate world and continue to shake up various industries. This has caused the venture capital industry to quickly shift their investing thesis to pouring billions into AI startups.

But retail investors have also been getting involved. Many AI startups continue to be some of the biggest raises on platforms like StartEngine and Wefunder. For example, Jurny is an AI-based rental and AirBNB management platform. The startup recently partnered with AirBNB and has seen significant traction for its ongoing raise.
