Cannabis Stocks React To DEA Rescheduling: Canopy & Aurora Surge, Tilray, WM Tech Hold Steady

The battle between Donald Trump and Joe Biden for the White House is nearing the six-month mark for voters to decide which candidate will win the<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/2024-election"> 2024 election on Nov. 5, 2024.</a>
A new poll shows how voters in key swing states would vote today.
What Happened: Many<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/election-poll"> election polls </a>point to a close race between Biden and Trump in the 2024 election, an event that could be a rematch of the 2020 presidential election won by Biden.
A new Emerson College poll shows how voters in key swing states would vote in a head-to-head matchup of Trump and Biden and also how they would vote when the two candidates face off against key third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Here are the results for the head-to-head <a href="https://emersoncollegepolling.com/trump-holds-edge-over-biden-in-seven-key-swing-state-polls/">poll</a>:
Arizona: 44% Biden, 48% Trump, 8% Undecided
Georgia: 44% Biden, 47% Trump, 9% Undecided
Michigan: 44% Biden, 45% Trump, 11% Undecided
Nevada: 44% Biden, 45% Trump, 11% Undecided
North Carolina: 42% Biden, 47% Trump, 10% Undecided
Pennsylvania: 45% Biden, 47% Trump, 8% Undecided
Wisconsin: 45% Biden, 47% Trump, 8% Undecided
The poll shows Trump winning all seven states in the head-to-head matchup against Biden. Trump's lead is only one point in several states.
"The share of undecided voters has reduced and Biden gained ground in Georgia and Nevada, narrowing the gap, while Trump has maintained a slight edge on Biden in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin," Emerson College Polling executive director Spencer Kimball said.
Here are the results of the poll when Robert F. Kennedy and other candidates are considered. The remaining percentage for each state went to other or undecided.
Arizona: 40% Biden, 44% Trump, 9% Kennedy Jr.
Georgia: 39% Biden, 45% Trump, 5% Kennedy Jr.
Michigan: 42% Biden, 43% Trump, 5% Kennedy Jr.
Nevada: 37% Biden, 42% Trump, 8% Kennedy Jr.
North Carolina: 37% Biden, 46% Trump, 6% Kennedy Jr.
Pennsylvania: 41% Biden, 45% Trump, 6% Kennedy Jr.
Wisconsin: 40% Biden, 45% Trump, 6% Kennedy Jr.
When third-party candidates are included for voters, Biden loses more support than Trump in five states. Two states (Arizona, Michigan) see both Biden and Trump lose the same amount of support.

Why It's Important: The poll results show Trump with a lead in all states in head-to-head and with other candidates to choose from.
The poll also found that Independent voters favored Trump over Biden in five of the swing states with Biden winning in Georgia and Wisconsin. Biden also led Trump in the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin among voters who are members of labor unions.
The other bad news for Biden was the poll asking voters about the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/politics/24/04/38326553/trump-hush-money-trial-has-12-jurors-here-are-the-7-men-5-women-to-decide-former-presidents-fate">criminal case against Trump</a> alleging hush money payments. The poll found that voters in six of the seven states said they were more likely to support Trump if he's found guilty in the case versus the number of voters who said they were less likely to support Trump.
The <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/politics/24/03/37884006/trump-vs-biden-key-swing-states-arizona-nevada-michigan-wisconsin-show-close-races-heres-the-rol" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">seven swing states </a>together represent 93 electoral votes in the 2024 election. Six of the seven swing states were won by Biden in the 2020 election, with Trump winning North Carolina. Five of the seven swing states won by Biden in 2020 flipped from Trump&#8217;s win in 2016, including Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin.
While the 2024 election is months away, recent polls of voters in swing states have not shown favorable results for Biden, which could be worrisome for his campaign.

A YouTuber begged people to put $1 into Bitcoin in a video shared on May 9, 2013. Here's a look back at the video and how much viewers could have made following his advice.
What Happened: YouTuber Davinci Jeremie launched several videos about Bitcoin prior to 2013, including those calling for viewers to<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/04/38041549/trader-who-urged-everyone-to-buy-1-of-bitcoin-in-2013-now-advocates-for-dogecoin-killer-sh"> buy $1 in Bitcoin.</a>
His most famous video was one from May 9, 2013, titled "Bitcoin update – just buy $1 worth of bitcoin please!"
In the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cw29h7LhEuE">video</a>, Jeremie told viewers Bitcoin "is more than just a payment system." The YouTuber praised Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto in the video and said the cryptocurrency could remain free and open and accomplish many things in the future.
"It is a freedom provider for the rest of humanity," Jeremie said.
Jeremie recognized many viewers were skeptical of Bitcoin, but he suggested investing a small amount of money and putting it into Bitcoin, then placing the investment aside for years.
"I suggest you take one fricking dollar, one dollar, buy some Bitcoins."
The YouTuber said it's just a dollar so if the investment goes to zero, you're not out much.
"It's just a dollar, get some Bitcoins."
Jeremie said he knew most viewers wouldn't take his advice.
"You're going to be thanking me."
Fast forward to 2024 and listening to Jeremie's advice could have netted huge returns for anyone who listened to his YouTube video.
Bitcoin traded between $109.60 and $115.78 on May 9, 2013, the date the video aired on YouTube, according to data from <a href="https://www.statmuse.com/money/ask/bitcoin-price-may-2013">Statmuse</a>. 
Investing $1 at the time could have purchased 0.0086 Bitcoin based on the day's high price. Today that $1 investment would be worth $516.26 based on a price of $60,029.90 for Bitcoin at the time of writing.
This marks an incredible return of 51,526% over the past 11 years.
Investors who felt more risky and invested $1,000 could have turned their investment into $518,484.25 over the past 11 years.

The key to Jeremie's video was the relative small investment amount he proposed. In the video description he mentioned buying Bitcoin "for the price of a lotto ticket" and holding it for 10 years.
The hypothetical investment illustrates how a small investment can grow over time. The small amount also shows the risk/reward profile illustrated by Jeremie who told viewers that if Bitcoin went to $0 they were only out the $1 they put into the cryptocurrency.
Jeremie has grown his following on YouTube to 519,000 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP0g6ygQkYjmog801YnNqtQ">subscribers </a>thanks to his previous call on Bitcoin. The content creator also has over 600,000 followers on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/davincij15/?hl=en">Instagram</a>.

While it&rsquo;s tempting to jump on a company like Nvidia (NASDAQ:<a href="https://investorplace.com/stock-quotes/nvda-stock-quote/">NVDA</a>), at some point, it won&rsquo;t match expectations, which brings us to a discussion about underappreciated <a href="https://investorplace.com/industries/technology/">tech stocks</a>. They&rsquo;re nowhere near as enticing as NVDA. However, they could offer superior returns.



That might sound like an arrogant if not irrational proposition. But the thing is, a company that has already exceeded expectations can only aim higher to enjoy similar praise. On the flipside, the reduced expectations of diamond-in-the-rough tech stocks may facilitate dramatic returns, if only because few expected such an outcome.



Of course, venturing off the beaten path implies heading into unknown and potentially volatile territory. If you&rsquo;re okay with that, these tech stocks just might surprise you &ndash; in a pleasant way.



<h2>Photronics (PLAB)</h2>

However, the production of photomasks is vital to the broader tech ecosystem. That&rsquo;s because they&rsquo;re used in photolithography, which ultimately produces patterns on silicon wafers. Therefore, without photomasks, we really wouldn&rsquo;t have a robust industry of tech stocks.



In the fiscal year ended October 2023, Photronics <a href="https://www.gurufocus.com/stock/PLAB/financials?search=plab">rang up sales of $892.1 million</a>, up 8.2% against the prior year&rsquo;s result. Looking ahead, analysts estimate that current year revenue will land at $932.3 million or 4.5% up. And in 2025, sales will finally hit the $1 billion mark. However, these estimates could be understated given the importance of Photronics to the broader semiconductor industry.



Notably, PLAB has quietly printed a robust performance over the past 52 weeks. Currently, <a href="https://www.streetinsider.com/dr/news.php?id=22524105">D.A. Davidson&rsquo;s Thomas Diffely</a> is the only expert who covers PLAB stock with a &ldquo;buy&rdquo; rating. No price target is specified, although another double-digit percentage move wouldn&rsquo;t be surprising.



<h2>Weave Communications (WEAV)</h2>

In many ways, Weave represents a digital assistance, enabling its operators to focus on the functions that really matter.



Last year, the company posted sales of $170.5 million, easily outpacing the prior year tally of $142.1 million. Notably, since 2019, Weave has consistently expanded the top line. Looking ahead, analysts estimate that the software specialists will <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/weav/analysis">ring up sales of $196.29 million</a>. Further, in 2025, sales could reach $225.62 million.



To be fair, WEAV isn&rsquo;t exactly the most discounted idea among tech stocks. However, for the money, you&rsquo;re receiving an underappreciated growth machine. Currently, analysts peg shares a moderate buy with a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/weav/forecast">$14.50 average price target</a>. Moreover, the high-side target lands at $18, indicating sizable upside for current speculators.



<h2>Himax Technologies (HIMX)</h2>

As well, Himax&rsquo;s products find themselves integrated in a wide range of products, from TVs to tablets to automotive displays.



Last year, Himax posted sales of $945.4 million, a disappointment from the prior year&rsquo;s tally of $1.2 billion. Therefore, analysts aren&rsquo;t exactly enthused about the company&rsquo;s immediate future. In 2024, they anticipate that revenue will <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/himx/analysis">come in at only $901.25 million</a>. In 2025, they only see sales hitting just over $982 million.



Nevertheless, with the importance of display drivers to the broader tech ecosystem, HIMX could be undervalued. Indeed, shares trade hands at <a href="https://www.gurufocus.com/stock/HIMX/summary">18.55X trailing-year earnings</a>, below the sector median 29.3X.

However, looking ahead, analysts anticipate the beginnings of a recovery. For the current year, <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/adea/analysis">sales should land at just over $400 million</a>. By 2025, sales could hit $427.25 million. Not only that, the most optimistic expert sees 2025 sales reaching $441.74 million.



One bonus to consider: ADEA appears deeply undervalued, trading at a <a href="https://www.gurufocus.com/stock/ADEA/summary">forward earnings multiple of 7.99X</a>. Analysts also rate shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/adea/forecast">unanimous strong buy</a> with a $15 price target. Therefore, it&rsquo;s one of the tech stocks to consider.



<h2>Payoneer (PAYO)</h2>

<h2>MoneyLion (ML)</h2>

That&rsquo;s well above 2022&rsquo;s tally of $340.7 million. Moreover, analysts anticipate that in the current year, sales <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ml/analysis">could fly to $518.5 million</a>. That&rsquo;s the average consensus. The high-side target soars to $529.1 million.



With rising interest in online banking services, ML could be one of the tech stocks to watch closely. Analysts anticipate big things, pegging shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/ml/forecast">unanimous strong buy</a> with a $78.33 average price target. Moreover, the most optimistic target calls for a price of $102.



<h2>Lantronix (LTRX)</h2>

Further, analysts project that the space could expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 23.2% from 2023 to 2030. At the forecast&rsquo;s culmination point, sector revenue could land at $1.69 trillion.



Of course, there&rsquo;s no guarantee that LTRX can grab that piece. It&rsquo;s not terribly surprising to see shares stumble almost 30% since the January opener. Still, analysts want to give it a chance, rating shares a <a href="https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/ltrx/forecast">unanimous strong buy</a> with an $8.25 price target.
