In an October post on X, Kiyosaki shared he spent $14 on an egg salad sandwich in Waikiki. He said, "I can afford $14 yet the price still is hard to swallow." Now, imagine that price for someone trying to stretch a paycheck.

He tied this anecdote to something bigger – the Everything Bubble (a term he's used before) and how it's crushing younger generations. According to him, housing, living costs, and starting a family are getting further out of reach. "I feel for these generations," he said. "I empathize. I too, had the same personal doubts growing up in Hawaii."

So, how are young people surviving? According to the Census Bureau, the millennial homeownership rate will be just 45.5% in 2023. That's a dramatic contrast to older generations – by age 30, 55% of the Silent Generation owned homes, compared to just 33% of Millennials.&nbsp;
Inflation doesn't help either. While the current U.S. inflation rate is at 2.6% as of October 2024, it's still creating immense pressure on young people's finances. Rising housing, groceries, and health care costs mean more people live paycheck to paycheck. A recent Bankrate survey revealed that nearly two-thirds of Millennials (64%) and more than half Gen Zers (55%) have delayed major life milestones, like buying a home or starting a family, because of financial challenges.
That said, not all hope is lost. Gen Z is beginning to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/real-estate/24/12/42269713/a-new-housing-clash-is-coming-involving-two-national-mortgage-giants-and-it-could-push-mortgage-costs-to-even-more-unaffordable-levels">make small gains in homeownership</a>, with about 27.8% of 24-year-old Gen Zers owning homes compared to 24.5% of Millennials at the same age. This glimmer of progress suggests that some young people are finding ways to navigate the tough economic climate.

The X post wasn't just doom and gloom. Kiyosaki offered some advice for those struggling to get ahead. "Find the teachers that talk to your body, mind, and spirit," he said, pointing to platforms like YouTube as a valuable resource for learning how to budget, invest, and build wealth.
And he didn't stop there. He stressed the importance of paying it forward: "Give back by teaching students who want to learn from you … the more you give, the more you receive." For Kiyosaki, sharing knowledge and experiences isn't just about helping others – it's about creating spiritual wealth, too.

Kirkland&#8217;s Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KIRK#NASDAQ">KIRK</a>) reported <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/12/n42360667/kirklands-reports-third-quarter-2024-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">a third-quarter 2024 sales</a> decline of 1.7% year over year to $114.42 million, beating the consensus of $110.23 million.
Comparable sales decreased 3.0% despite a 1.6% increase in comparable store sales compared to Q3 2023, with roughly 1.0% of the decline attributed to hurricane-related disruptions.
The decrease was mainly due to lower average ticket and e-commerce conversion, partly offset by higher traffic and store conversion.
Gross profit margin expanded 174 basis points YoY to 28.1%. The operating loss for the quarter was $2.39 million versus a loss of $6.65 million last year.
Adjusted EBITDA for Q3 was $0.5 million, compared to a loss of $3.2 million in the same quarter last year. Adj. EPS loss of 29 cents missed the consensus of 27 cents loss.
As of November 2, 2024, inventory was $111.2 million, up 5.7% from the prior year, primarily due to later inventory receipts this year. The company had $6.8 million in cash, $65.0 million in debt under its $90.0 million credit facility, and $15.4 million in debt to Beyond, Inc.
Strategic Partnership with Beyond: On October 21, 2024, the company formed a strategic partnership with Beyond, Inc., with Beyond investing $25 million in a debt and equity transaction. $17 million from the Beyond Credit Agreement was used to repay the FILO Term Loan and reduce revolving credit facility borrowings.
&#8220;This quarter also marked a pivotal moment for Kirkland&#8217;s as we entered into a strategic partnership with Beyond enabling us to strengthen our financial position and providing new avenues for growth as the exclusive licensee of Bed Bath &amp; Beyond neighborhood stores. Net cash used in operating activities for the nine months ended stood at $39.03 million, compared to $42.686 million a year ago. The company Ended the quarter with 325 stores, consistent with Q2 2024.

Newmont Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NEM#NYSE">NEM</a>) disclosed the sale of its Cripple Creek &amp; Victor operation in Colorado to SSR Mining Inc. <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/12/b42360696/newmont-announces-agreement-to-divest-cc-v-for-up-to-275-million" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">for up to $275 million in cash</a>.
As per the terms of the agreement, Newmont will receive up to $275 million in gross proceeds. This includes $100 million in cash, payable at closing.
Additionally, Newmont will receive $87.5 million in contingent cash upon securing pending regulatory approvals.
A further $87.5 million will be paid upon resolving regulatory applications related to the Carlton Tunnel.
With this transaction, Newmont will have generated up to $3.9 billion in gross proceeds from non-core asset sales and investments.
The deal is expected to close in the first-quarter of 2025, subject to customary conditions.
Newmont will cover 90% of any incremental closure costs exceeding $500 million at CC&amp;V, as outlined in an updated regulator-approved closure plan.
This funding can be provided on an as-incurred basis or through a net present value lump-sum payment.
&#8220;We are excited to announce the continuation of our divestment program to streamline the Newmont portfolio as the leading operator of Tier 1 gold and copper assets,&#8221; said Tom Palmer, Newmont&#8217;s President and Chief Executive Officer. 
In February 2024, Newmont disclosed its plans to divest non-core assets, including six operations and two projects across its Australian,<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/24/02/37287732/gold-miner-newmont-looks-to-sell-assets-reduce-8b-debt-load" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Ghanaian, and North American business units</a>.
With definitive agreements in place for four additional operations, the company aims to finalize its non-core asset divestiture program by Q1 2025.
Total gross proceeds from transactions announced in 2024 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">are expected to reach up to $3.9 billion</a>.
