Economic Data Scheduled For Friday

  • US jobs report for December is scheduled for release at 8:30 a.m. ET. Nonfarm payrolls are projected to increase only 65,000 for December, following a 245,000 rise in the prior month. The unemployment rate is also expected to rise to 6.8% from 6.7%.
  • Data on wholesale inventories for November will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. A 0.1% decline is projected for the second estimate of wholesale inventories in November.
  • Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Richard Clarida is set to speak at 11:00 a.m. ET.
  • The Baker Hughes North American rig count report for the latest week is scheduled for release at 1:00 p.m. ET.
  • Data on consumer credit for November will be released at 3:00 p.m. ET. Analysts expect consumer credit rising $9.0 billion for November following a $7.2 billion increase in October.
