Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE) reported better-than-expected results for its fiscal first quarter and raised its outlook for the full year. Adobe shares surged 5.99 percent to $95.35 in the after-hours trading session.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) reported a $1.88 billion increase to its share buyback program. JPMorgan shares gained 0.82 percent to $59.25 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Gordmans Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMAN) to report its quarterly earnings at $0.06 per share on revenue of $208.23 million. Gordmans Stores shares gained 1.19 percent to close at $2.55 yesterday.

Aeropostale Inc (NYSE: ARO) reported a loss for its fiscal fourth quarter and announced plans to explore strategic alternatives, including a sale of the company. Aeropostale shares dipped 42.48 percent to $0.270 in the after-hours trading session.

TransCanada Corporation (USA) (NYSE: TRP) announced plans to acquire Columbia Pipeline Group Inc (NYSE: CPGX) for$25.50 per share in cash. Columbia Pipeline shares surged 5.32 percent to $24.75 in after-hours trading, while TransCanada shares gained 3.71 percent to close at $38.06 yesterday.

Shoe Carnival, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCVL) reported upbeat earnings for its fourth quarter on Thursday. Shoe Carnival shares surged 7.05 percent to $27.48 in the after-hours trading session.
