BIG to report its quarterly earnings at $1.98 per share on revenue of $1.60 billion. Big Lots shares gained 1.55 percent to $42.50 in after-hours trading. Planet Fitness Inc PLNT reported better-than-expected results for its fourth quarter and issued a strong FY16 forecast. Planet Fitness shares gained 2.97 percent to $15.25 in the after-hours trading session. Gap Inc. GPS reported a 2 percent drop in its same-store sales for February. Its total sales for the month declined to $888 million from $918 million. Gap shares rose 0.60 percent to close at $28.54 yesterday. Analysts expect Staples, Inc. SPLS to report its quarterly earnings at $0.28 per share on revenue of $5.41 billion. Staples shares rose 1.32 percent to $10.00 in after-hours trading. H & R Block Inc HRB reported a wider-than-expected loss for its fiscal third quarter on Thursday. H & R Block shares tumbled 6.05 percent to $30.90 in the after-hours trading session. Broadcom Ltd AVGO reported stronger-than-expected earnings for its first quarter and announced its plans to cut 1,900 jobs globally. Broadcom shares surged 7.19 percent to $147.20 in the after-hours trading session.
