Microsoft Beats The Street, Breaking Expectations For EPS And Revenue

Microsoft Corporation MSFT announced its fourth-quarter results after market close on Thursday. The tech giant reported $25.7 billion in non-GAAP revenue, beating the Street's expectation of $25.3 billion.

Non-GAAP earnings came to $0.78, beating analysts' expectations of $0.71.

Microsoft returned $6.5 billion to investors in the quarter in a combination of buybacks and dividends.

Microsoft Office commercial products and cloud service revenue grew by 5 percent, while personal computer revenue dropped 5 percent.

Microsoft shares were up 4.3 percent at $54.25 in after-hours action.
