VeriFone shares fell 0.42 percent to close at $26.32 on Friday. Shire PLC (ADR) SHPG is said to be in talks to acquire Baxalta Inc BXLT, according to sources as reported by Bloomberg on Friday. Sources say the cash and stock offer could come in the next several weeks. Shire shares climbed 2.49 percent to $196.75 in after-hours trading, while Baxalta shares surged 2.86 percent to $38.10 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts are expecting Quanex Building Products Corporation NX to have earned $0.25 per share on revenue of $200.11 million in the latest quarter. Quanex Building Products shares slipped 0.67 percent to $17.75 in after-hours trading. AstraZeneca plc (ADR) AZN is said to be in talks to acquire Acerta Pharma BV and its blood cancer treatment acalabrutinib, according to sources as reported by the Wall Street Journal on Friday. AstraZeneca shares fell 0.66 percent to close at $33.25 on Friday. Analysts expect FuelCell Energy Inc FCEL to post a quarterly loss at $0.28 per share on revenue of $44.63 million. FuelCell Energy shares rose 0.77 percent to $6.53 in after-hours trading.
