Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC) is said to be nearing a deal to acquire United Surgical Partners, in a deal that could be worth more than $2.5 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal. Tenet Healthcare shares fell 1.49% to close at $49.62 on Friday.
Shares of Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE: CVC) climbed over 3% Friday, on a note from Detwiler, that the Long Island-based company, led by Jim Dolan, could be a takeover target for Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR). Cablevision shares surged 3.26% to close at $18.68 on Friday.
Wall Street expects FMSA Holdings Inc. (NYSE: FMSA) to report its Q4 earnings at $0.29 per share on revenue of $348.83 million. FMSA Holdings shares slipped 3.21% to close at $5.42 on Friday.
The Principal Financial Group (NYSE: PFG) named Roger C. Hochschild, president and chief operating officer for Discover Financial Services, to the company's board effective March 18, 2015. Principal Financial shares rose 2.37% to close at $51.86 on Friday.
