Gazprom H1 Profit Down 23%

OAO Gazprom reported a 23% drop in its profit for the first half of the year. Gazprom's profit for the period declined to 450.6 billion rubles ($11.1 billion). Its revenue climbed 7% to 1.59 trillion rubles. Volumes sold to its European market rose to 86.0 billion cubic meters (bcm). The company sold 125.4 bcm in Russia, compared to 133.6 bcm previous year.
