Stocks To Watch For June 24, 2014

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects Walgreen Co WAG to report its Q3 earnings at $0.94 per share on revenue of $19.48 billion. Walgreen shares fell 0.01% to $73.72 in after-hours trading. Micron Technology MU reported better-than-expected fiscal third-quarter earnings. Micron posted its adjusted earnings of $0.79 per share, beating analysts' estimates of $0.69 per share. Micron shares fell 0.70% to $31.04 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts are expecting Carnival CCL to have earned $0.02 per share on revenue of $3.61 billion in the second quarter. Carnival shares gained 0.46% to $39.59 in after-hours trading. Abbott Laboratories ABT agreed to acquire Russian pharmaceutical manufacturer Veropharm for up to $495 million. Abbott shares slipped 0.29% to close at $40.73 yesterday. Sonic SONC reported a rise in its fiscal third-quarter profit. Its quarterly profit surged to $16.8 million, or $0.30 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $14.8 million, or $0.26 per share. Sonic shares climbed 1.99% to $23.10 in the after-hours trading session.
