Carnival CCL posted a loss for its fiscal first quarter.
Carnival now expects full-year earnings of $1.50 to $1.70 per share, versus its earlier forecast of $1.40 to $1.80 per share.
Carnival posted a quarterly loss of $15 million, or $0.02 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $37 million, or $0.05 per share. Excluding special items, it posted earnings of $0.00 per share.
Its revenue declined 0.2% to $3.59 billion. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.08 per share on revenue of $3.56 billion.
Carnival shares fell 3.21% to $38.72 at 10:15 a.m. ET.
