Ashtead Posts Higher Q3 Profit

U.K. company Ashtead Group PLC

reported a 54% gain in its Q3 pretax profit. Ashtead's quarterly pretax profit rose to 77.9 million pounds ($130.36 million), from GBP52.0 million, in the year-ago quarter. Its revenue climbed to GBP354.2 million versus GBP294.7 million, while underlying pretax profit jumped to GBP80.4 million from GBP53.5 million. Ashtead's diluted earnings per share rose to 9.7 pence.
